Awqaf SA will once again be hosting the Hajj Waqf Pledgeline on ITV. This will take place at 7.30PM (19h.30) on 1 October 2014 coinciding with 6 Dhil Hijjah (SA Time). This will be the second Hajj Waqf fundraising drive launched by Awqaf SA.
The purpose of the Hajj Waqf Fund is to create a sustainable funding mechanism to assist poor and needy Hujjaaj to perform the Sacred Journey to the House Of Allah and also to provide subsidies and assistance to needy and distressed hujjaj. In addition, the fund will assist in sponsoring food and medical supplies and any other need of our hujjaaj.
In 2014, Awqaf SA fully sponsored two persons and provided further assistance and subsidies to another 15 needy persons. This trend inshallah will continue well into the future.
This is only possible through the generous waqf donations that members of the community have been making and particularly during the 2013 (1434) pledgeline.
Awqaf SA call on the comnmunity to once again open hearts for the poor and needy to help making their ream for a hajj a reality.
