Gift Waqf Certificate - Mohammed Ali and Fathima Assamo
The Awqaf SA Water Waqf is a charitable endowment that provides clean, reliable water to underserved communities across South Africa. Many South African communities still lack access to basic services. Schools, informal settlements, and public institutions often face water shortages that hinder health, education, and quality of life. Inspired by Islamic values of compassion and public benefit, this initiative addresses a vital human need while restoring dignity and enabling development.
Through the Water Waqf, Awqaf SA installs boreholes and water systems at:
- Schools
- Community Centres
- Elder Homes
- Mosques
- Orphanages
These projects uplift communities by ensuring access to water, improving health, supporting learning, and building resilience.
